Improved performance with UASP

UASP is supported by Windows 8, Mac OSX (10.8 or later) and Linux. In tests, UASP provides 70% faster read speeds and 40% faster write speeds over standard USB 3.0.

At the same time, UASP tests showed an 80% reduction in processor resource consumption.

The tests were conducted using an Intel Ivy Bridge system, a StarTech.com UASP-capable enclosure and a SATA III SSD.
